Today is the submission and presentation day for the final project. Our animatics is like half done, thanks to Hanis who did it yesterday. The powerpoint slide we are still doing, the moodboard is done, the poster, CD cover and namecard is still working and the collaterals is done. We are almost to the finishing point man! Work hard people!
Kala helped to add shading to the frames first before she improve on the current animatics. Sholleh is doing the the namecard and the promotional materials, Alvin is doing the powerpoint slides, Hanis is doing the storyboard thing maybe just some touch up and i am doing my last post of the blog now. Ok, i should end here and help Alvin with the powerpoint slides. Hope that later our presentation can go smoothly and everything ended well. Ja ne!

Day 5 Disccussion again
On Wednesday 14 May 2008, my groupmates and i met up again to discuss about our final assignment. This time our storyboard is almost finished just left with some touch up, but we still haven't start on our animatics. Kala and Hanis they still struggling with it. Work Hard!
For me, i discussed with Hanis about the moodboard. Firstly, we discussed about the type of colour and feeling we are using in our storyboard. Hanis told me that the colour we are working on was deep blue colour. The feeling we are working on is sad, lonely and mystery.
After that, i went to look for pictures for the moodboard. Some of the pictures i took from a music video of the band called 'Simple Plan', some were scenery pictures like snow, some were objects like rose and others. I didn't met any problems to find the pictures but when i try to put them together as a poster in photoshop, i met some minor problems.
Some of the pictures i found the background was not black in colour but i need to change it into blue colour. I got Hanis to teach me and she gave me suggestions on how to improve the poster when i showed her the poster. After some touch up and editing, the moodboard was done! Hurray!
Oh ya, i forgot to talk about my feeling. As i was doing the moodboard, i was feeling very blue and down because all i see was blue blue blue blue. But after i finished, i feel very orange hahaha...

Day 4 Group Discussion
On Tuesday 13 May 2008, my group members and i met up in the mac lab to have discussion on the final assignment. Kala, me, Sholleh and alvin sat down to discuss about the assignment first because Hanis will be joining us later.
We discussed about how to promote this music video and what are the collaterals for this music video. For the promotion of this music video, we thought of promote it as a single EP whaich consists of the song 'What if she's an angel', the music video, posters and our own namecard. We also thought of create a CD cover, getting commerical star to act out in the mtv and broadcast this single EP on radio and through adveretisement.
For the collaterals, Alvin already have the basic idea. We just discussed like how many people and what people we need in the production crew, what props we need, places we need to rent and the amount of it. About 5pm, Hanis join in our discussion and i just briefly told her what we had just discussed. She told us that the storyboard was not finished yet but she will finish it by tomorrow.
After that, we all left to do our own work....

On Monday 12 May 2008, it was the day for us to present our storyboard to the class and Amanda. During our presentation, we showed our storyboard on screen and Amanda gave us some suggestions on how to improve the storyboard and what was wrong with our storyboard.
Amanda told us that some shots of our storyboard was not clear, the positioning of the man was wrong for one of the frame and some frames Hanis drew was not neccessary. Amanda also gave us suggestions like how to draw some of the frames to make it look clearer. She also said that some parts of our storyboard was lacking of continuity.
After the whole presentation ends, Hanis went back to edit the storyboard again....

Day 2 Discussion on storyboard
On Sunday 11 May 2008, i went to Hanis's house to discuss about the storyboard for our group. I explained to Hanis how my storyboard was like and she explained to me how her storyboard was like. After discussion, we decided to combine some of my shots and her shots together in the storyboard. After the discussion, i left her house and went back home...

Day 1 Deciding on track
Today, Amanda told us about the final assignment we have to do. The final assignment is a group work and is about produce animatics for MTV. We are given two songs to decide which one we want to work on and my group choose the song What if she's an angel.
Firstly, every of the group member have to come out with a storyboard based on the lyrics of the song. Then compile all the storyboards we had done and pick the best one out. If we want, we can even combine the ideas of some parts of the storyboards we have and create a new one out.
My group decide to meet on Sunday to gather the storyboards we had done and pick the best one out. We have also decided on how to separate the work among ourselves. For this assignment, we have to submit the mood board, storyboards, promotional materials like posters and collaterals like timeline.
